Felicia Nino and Barbara Rapelye from Animal Defense League of Texas speak about the great work they, and other animal shelters in San Antonio, are doing to save as many animals as they can. They give information and resources to pet owners about spay/neuter clinics, vaccines and how to be a responsible pet owner. They also give advice to potential pet owners about things to consider when adopting a pet.

Marisela Barrera is a Tejana writer and teatrista with a BFA in Acting from Southern Methodist University, and MA/MFA degrees in Creative Writing, Literature and Social Justice from Our Lady of the Lake University. She is part of the teaching faculty in the English and Reading Department at NW Vista College.
